Exchange is like learning to fly.
It’s a dream; something big; frightening; different.
You studied, researched and found a way to do it, you know you can.
You are brave!
So you start. And therefor they give you wings. To you they are beautiful, tiny but strong. You try them… they work, you have a vision of how they’ll carry you, of what can happen, of all those adventures you going to have with them.
You get a date and a place to start. So you start walking. Time passes. Finally you can see the starting point. It’s like a cliff just… you can’t see behind it, It’s bright but so dark at the same time.
You get scared, but you want to be brave, they said it will work; you and those wings will be enough.
You are brave!
You start running. You are so close now. Then you are there. One step, one last breath, and then you jump. You thought you would fly.
For seconds you do, but then you start falling, tangling, tumbling, the wind is cold and you can’t see. You think you can’t, even if they promised… ,but you can.
You are brave!
And the wind gets wormer. You stop tumbling, someone is holding you up. Underneath you appears a ship. Small at first, but it’s safe and stops you from falling.
And after a while you can stand up, you feel a worm hand in yours, you see the sun rising, you enjoy the worm wind in your hair and taste of the salty air. You are free and ready for an amazing adventure.
You are brave!
Then you remember those wings. They are bigger now, more beautiful then ever. So you take off again. And this time… You can Fly.
